PROFESSIONAL QUALITY ELECTRIC PIANO LIBRARIES FOR LIVE GIGGING AND STUDIO WORK FOR YOUR IPAD AND IPHONE.

FEATURING AUDIOBUS AND VIRTUAL MIDI!!!

ONE OF THE FIRST iOS MUSIC APPS TO FEATURE REAL-TIME SAMPLE STREAMING, USING APPLE LOSSLESS (CAF) FORMAT

With the incredible success of our computer based versions of Neo-Soul Keys®, we felt it an obvious decision to bring our incredible electric piano libraries to the iOS. Despite the eagerness, we did not want to produce a sub-par app just for sake of making an electric piano library, so we worked directly with Apple’s engineers to bring to you, for the first time ever: SAMPLE STREAMING USING APPLE LOSSLESS CAF FORMAT. No other app that we know of offers real-time zone switching sample streaming with lossless compression. Many other sample library apps offer the samples to be loaded into memory, which obviously severely cripples the detail and amount of samples you are able to use. With sample streaming, we are able to use the same high quality sampling techniques, zone switching, and velocity layering, without sacrificing the quality similar to a desktop sample library. So what we did was load all of the electric piano effects samples in system memory, and dedicated the most important sustain samples to stream from the internal flash RAM. The results make for a high quality, low latency, and professional grade electric piano sound module that you can take with you and play live!

You see, many sound designers are trained in a certain way of sampling, by making things so tidy and neat. Every sample is perfectly cut, trimmed, and cross-faded to perfection. Unfortunately, this is not real life and it definitely is not what a real electromechanical instrument is suppose to sound like. It is in those uneven notes, blanks, quarks, splats, clanks, and mechanical nuances that really make you feel like you are playing a real living and breathing organic instrument. This is what we intended with Neo-Soul Keys® - a real world feeling and experience of playing a real electromechanical instrument. You even hear the pedal noises when the sustain pedal is being pressed and released. THAT IS HOW MUCH DETAIL WE PUT INTO OUR INSTRUMENTS! As a result, our Neo-Soul Keys® has been featured and licensed by none other than Steinberg®, who are the the inventors and creators of VST technology.

Neo-Soul Kes® has also been used by the legendary Gerorge Duke and is quoted by Keyboard Magazine during his final interview:

"Unless I’m doing a trio format with Al Jarreau or I’m using an acoustic piano and a real suitcase, my main electric piano is the Scarbee library. I also incorporated one called [Gospel Musicians] Neo-Soul Suitcase, because that has a little more grit and meat on it for certain types of sounds. There’s another that’s pretty smooth, and it’s also a Scarbee thing but it’s toned down; it doesn’t have a lot of attack. As a matter a fact, I’m using that sound on “Brazilian Love Affair.” When I go into playing more funk, I might use Neo-Soul Keys®, which has a lot of attack. But if I’m doing, say, a Miles Davis tune, I prefer the Scarbee." - Keyboard Magazine, August 2013

Pros and cons of Neo-Soul Keys app for iPhone and iPad

Neo-Soul Keys app good for

The best Rhodes emulation on ipad. The Wurlitzer is not perfect, please make it better!
Best Rhodes emulation available in iOS world. Thats a fact, Jack!
It has an amazing Rhodes Suitcase model! It would be cool to have multiple variations of the suitcase model though. Anyways, this will take care of any need for a "real" sounding Rhodes suitcase. Much better than iLectric imo
Simple and straight forward. Thats what you would get if you went out and bought a real Rhodes. Likewise, thats what you get when you buy this app. Dont expect this to be some synthesis dream come true. Thats not the intention. However, what it IS is an honest representation of the real thing with all its mechanical quirks fully adjustable. Ill gladly give this 5 stars.
I liked the app from before. But today on the 7, its been giving me serious issues. I cant use it, delete it or download or update any apps onto my iPhone after this app.
Been waiting for this app to come out for the ipad. Now i have two great rhodes to use on the go that sound real good. Jamal and the gospel musicians team did an amazing job at fine sampling these instruments. It has the barks, bells and the low ends that every keyboard player is looking for in an easy to use sound library. Grab it you want regret it! Thanks for making it available on the french appstore too!

Some bad moments

The app is usless, without a build in keyboard. Mostely i dont carry a separat midi-keyboard with me... No presets... Please update... Thx.
...because app keeps interrupting with annoying ads. sounds okay, but way too expensive. a lot of better options out there with other apps.
Dont work on iphone 4S.Its impossible to play because high latency(11,6 ms).Under this latency audio crash and dont work.If you use latency over 11,6 ms,its impossible play anything.Sounds are very good but the app functionality is very very bad. Please fix the problem.
The sounds are great but the graphical interface does not work: aparameters are not modifiable via the screen on the ipad pro. The company must fix this bug.
I remember stacking my Fender Rhoades stage piano which was 2 Big oblong pieces and hauling them in a Chevy Chevett back in the dayI must say after seeing that this would be available for the IPad I was upset. After all I just purchased the Ik Electric and was pleased I conquered the Ep market for a real keys instrument that can be used anywhere. I own several apps Auria Beatmaker2 Sampletank and IGrand I use them with a Akai MPK 49 for preproduction when Im on the road. Well I got this because of Jamal Hartwell whom I respect most highly and have been following him for years. I sowed seed into his products and they reap results. And this is no different. This IS THE BEST OF THE REST PEOPLE. All of my keyboard friends that I know who own a IPad will be informed. Universal sound especially the Stage version but all really stand out as a freak of nature coming out of an IPad as true as sound can get to the originals...Ive had them all!! Jamal be encouraged my friend this is gonna rock at church. Love the knobs but you definitely need a keyboard controller with knobs to control them the way you want. Midi learn is easy setup and your good. Now all you need to do is get on the "bus" and its a complete studio indeed. Keep it coming dude and be blessed for what you are doing............
If you are a keyboard player, this is a must have , all three apps are well worth the investment. The sound on this app sounds better than any keyboard Rhodes I have every heard. The technology is cutting edge, and you can sell off some keyboards and travel much lighter. Im just amazed at the app.
